Autoctona Polo
Description
This garment is a variation of the Autoctona Blouse — an oversized, genderless shirt with dropped shoulders and a loose fit.
It features a polo-style neckline with two large buttons, long sleeves with a gentle fold, a narrow cuff, and a deep pleat at the center back. The sides are straight with rounded slits.
The side-opening boxy pocket is crafted from a grid of leftover fabric. This delicate texture is the result of a hand process, creating a “second fabric” from the original solid weave cloth.
Finished with tonal muslin cotton lining, the blouse has a warm, slightly rough, and primitive look and feel.
This garment is crafted from native wool sourced in Northeast Italy, woven in the same region on 19th-century handlooms, and then carefully tailored.
