Ponchos Rojas was founded by Ana Catalina Rojas Merkel and Greg Merkel, who hoped to achieve a broad worldwide appeal and drive a new economy for Bolivian textiles. They have also created a non-profit company, Ponchos Libres, where proceeds from sales will go directly back to local Bolivian communities and help further protect the treasure that is the art of Bolivian Textiles.
